The Reidsville Tigers and Coul-Oak Steelers were surprised with $2,500 in new youth football equipment during Panthers training camp practice on Sunday, August 13.

The equipment is provided by Academy Sports Outdoors. The two youth teams were invited to attend the Panthers final training camp practice as part of the NFL's Play Football celebration. Following the surprise reveal, the teams received Panthers game tickets and were greeted by Sir Purr and TopCats cheerleaders.

As part of the ongoing effort to support enhanced participation opportunities and player safety for football played at the grassroots level, Academy Sports Outdoors and the Panthers are assisting youth football organizations with much-needed equipment.

Teams were selected through a competitive grant process based on contribution to their community, and financial need. Recipient teams are also required to be registered participants in USA Football's "Heads Up Football" program. The equipment grants coincide with the NFL's Play Football celebration during the month of August.
