Panthers to award flood relief grants

The Carolina Panthers will award grants to assist high school athletic programs in North and South Carolina that have been adversely affected by the recent catastrophic storm damage that occurred in both states earlier this month.

"The Carolina Panthers understand the important role high school athletics play in communities across our region. The team has been working with high school officials since the flooding event to help identify schools that can benefit from this grant opportunity," said Peter Vacho, the Carolina Panthers military and football outreach manager. "Our hope is this funding effort will assist high schools in meeting the needs of their athletic programs as they try to return to a sense of normalcy."

Funding opportunities are still available ranging from $5,000 to $25,000. All qualifying applications will be considered, and a select number of grants will be awarded. Download the grant application. The deadline to apply is November 6, 2015.
