CHARLOTTE - Kick off the holiday season at the 2nd annual Carolina Panthers tree lighting on Tuesday, November 24.

The celebration is free of charge and will take place outside Bank of America Stadium, on the corner of Mint Street and Graham Street, from 6-7:30 p.m. The Panthers will light up the night sky by illuminating a 58-foot Norway Spruce tree from Newland, N.C., with 48,600 lights.

The tree lighting show will begin at 7 p.m. with performances by the Fort Mill High School choir and the Hickory High School orchestra, and several pre-show activities will begin at 6. Face painters and balloon artists will help fans look their best before they pose for a caricaturist or visit a photo booth. The evening's guest list includes Sir Purr, TopCats, PurrCussion, Black & Blue Crew and one very special guest…Santa Claus.

Participating food vendors include Comfort Foods on Wheels, The TIN Kitchen, Southern Cake Queen, What the Fries and Street Spice.

Guests are encouraged to bring lawn chairs to relax and enjoy the festivities.
