Panthers to host road race

Put on your running shoes for the Blue Points 5k Road Race presented by the Carolina Panthers and Blue Cross and Blue Shield of North Carolina at Bank of America Stadium on Saturday, August 8! The 5k Road Race will begin at 7:30 a.m. followed by the Sir Purr Toddler Trot for children under 12 at 8:15 a.m. and an awards ceremony at 9 a.m. Proceeds raised from the event will benefit Carolina Panthers Charities.

Runners may register one of three ways:

At any of the three Charlotte-area Run For Your Life locations: Dilworth - 2422 Park Road, Stonecrest Shopping Center - 7868 Rea Road, University - 1816 East Arbors Drive, #420.

After the race, stay for Fan Fest. Festivities at the Catwalk and Fun Zone will start at 9 a.m., and activities inside Bank of America Stadium will begin at 9:30 a.m. with the 2009 Carolina Panthers practicing at 11 a.m.
