Stuff The Bus

!Don't forget your tickets...and...school supplies! The Carolina Panthers and Harris Teeter will hold their annual "Stuff The Bus" school supply collection before the team's preseason game against the Tennessee Titans on Saturday, Aug. 28 at 8 p.m. at Bank of America Stadium.

Fans are encouraged to bring school supplies - including folders, pencils, glue sticks, pens, ruled paper, colored pencils, markers, crayons, highlighters, erasers, backpacks and calculators - that are in high demand and needed to equip underserved children for the new school year. Volunteers from Classroom Central will be at each gate when the stadium opens at 6 p.m. to collect the supplies. Fans can drop off supplies in the yellow collection bins at each gate.

All school supplies collected from the "Stuff The Bus" campaign will be donated to Classroom Central, a non-profit store where area teachers can obtain materials free of charge for their students in need. Last year, Panthers' fans donated more than 57,000 school supplies, which contributed to Classroom Central's total distribution of more than $4.48 million in free school supplies to more than 90,000 students in our region.

"The Carolina Panthers are proud to provide continued support for Classroom Central," said Riley Fields, the Carolina Panthers director of community relations "Supplying teachers with the resources they need provides better educational opportunities for their students. Together, the Carolina Panthers and Classroom Central will continue to help make a difference in the classrooms of underserved schools in our community."
