Week 18 Thursday Injury Report: C.J. Henderson limited

CHARLOTTE — The Panthers were down to four names on the injury report Thursday, though that wasn't necessarily good news.

With Stephon Gilmore, Yetur Gross-Matos, and Shi Smith going on reserve/COVID-19 the last two days, the number of players on the active roster missing from practice was smaller.

Cornerback CJ Henderson (knee) was limited for the second straight day.

They need Henderson, since they're down to him, rookie Keith Taylor Jr., and journeyman Rashaan Melvin at the position, along with the guys on the practice squad.

Henderson dressed for last week's game in New Orleans but didn't play, as they only planned to use him in case of emergency.

Defensive tackle Derrick Brown (elbow) was added to the report Thursday, as a limited participant in practice.

Wide receiver Robby Anderson (quad) and safety Sean Chandler (quad) were held out again Thursday.

Panthers head coach Matt Rhule said they're trying to give Anderson the best chance to be available Sunday, so tomorrow's report will give a clearer idea of his status.
