Youth football coaches honored

Seven coaches who were recognized during the 2011 season as a Carolina Panthers Youth Football Coach of the Week will be honored at a preseason game next season.

The coaches, from North and South Carolina, were selected for excelling on the field and in their community, and for giving tirelessly of themselves for the betterment of their local area, their teams, and their players.

"The Carolina Panthers are proud to recognize some of the region's top youth football coaches, who give tirelessly to their teams and communities. The impact made by these coaches goes well beyond the playing field," said Riley Fields, the Carolina Panthers director of community relations.
