CHARLOTTE -- Kicker Graham Gano (knee) has been ruled out for Sunday's game against the Browns.

"Graham has been dealing with a sore knee," head coach Ron Rivera said Friday. "Yesterday it was really bothering him. This is where we are right now."

Gano was a limited practice participant Thursday. He did not practice Friday and the Panthers signed Chandler Catanzaro in the event Gano couldn't play.

"Chandler is the best option we have," Rivera said.

Safety Colin Jones (illness) is the only other player on the injury report and he's listed questionable.

Guard Trai Turner (neck) left last week's game against the Buccaneers but he's good to go against Cleveland. So too is quarterback Cam Newton (shoulder), who had what Rivera described as a normal week of practice despite increased attention.
