Injury Report: Torrey Smith ruled out

CHARLOTTE - Wide receiver Torrey Smith will miss his second consecutive game Sunday against the Buccaneers.

Smith (knee) wasn't able to make it onto the practice field this week, meaning he also could be hard-pressed to be back for the Panthers' fast-approaching next game at the Steelers on Thursday night.

"That will be interesting to see," head coach Ron Rivera said. "The biggest thing you're hoping is that he continues to make the progress that he's making. It's a slow, tedious process. We've got some guys that are playing really well right now, so we're not forced to push anybody out on the field. We can take our time."

Rookie safety Rashaan Gaulden (ankle) isn't listed on the injury report, nor is rookie linebacker Andre Smith (hamstring), who last played in Week 5.
