Week 2 Wednesday Injury Report: DaQuan Jones limited in practice

CHARLOTTE - Veteran defensive tackle DaQuan Jones was among three players listed as limited in practice Wednesday for the Panthers.

Jones was on the report with a groin issue, and was wearing a red jersey on his way out to practice. As one of the few true veterans on the roster, it's worth monitoring his practice reps, particularly when you consider they have a short-week game next week with a trip to Houston next Thursday.

The Panthers also got a chance to look at some different combinations on the offensive line in practice, as guards John Miller (illness) and Pat Elflein (hip) were limited as well.

The Panthers had some issues in protection last week, with Miller out of the lineup. He was on the reserve/COVID-19 list and was activated Wednesday morning.

The Panthers also listed safety Juston Burris (neck), safety Sean Chandler (hamstring), and wide receiver Shi Smith (shoulder) as full participants in practice.

Smith's just getting back after missing last week with a preseason injury.
