Week 3 Thursday Injury Report: Another day without Cam Newton and Kawann Short

CHARLOTTE -- Aside from tight end Greg Olsen (back) being elevated from limited to full, the Panthers' Thursday injury report is the same as it was Wednesday.

That means defensive tackle Kawann Short (shoulder) did not participate for the third straight day, which is generally not a great sign.

Quarterback Cam Newton (foot) did not make an appearance. He has not been at practice all week.

"Cam was in meetings today and getting treatment," head coach Ron Rivera said. "Kyle is preparing like he's going to start. We'll have more clarity tomorrow."

Safety Rashaan Gaulden (groin), LB/DE Bruce Irvin (hamstring) and offensive tackle Brandon Greene (neck) also have not practiced this week.
