Week 4 Thursday Injury Report: Offensive line updates

InjuryReport-week4_thursday

CHARLOTTE — The Panthers still aren't what you'd call healthy, but there are at least some positive signs as the week of practice rolls on.

Right guard John Miller is still listed as limited with a shoulder injury, but he graduated from a green jersey for Thursday's work.

Those jersey colors indicate steps in the team's return-to-play protocol, so the fact he was in a normal jersey is a sign of progress.

Defensive end Yetur Gross-Matos (ankle) was still limited in Thursday's practice, as he was Wednesday. He was also still in a green jersey.

Running back Christian McCaffrey (hamstring) remained out, as did defensive tackle Phil Hoskins (non-injury), who is dealing with a personal matter.

Left tackle Cameron Erving (knee) was added to the report Thursday, but was listed as a full participant in practice. Linebacker Shaq Thompson (back) was also added to the report, but was a full participant.

Otherwise, wide receiver Terrace Marshall Jr. (thumb) and cornerback CJ Henderson (groin) were listed as full participants again Thursday, which is a good sign for their availability.

The Panthers are still teaching Henderson their system, and have acknowledged that he'd have a limited role this week if he played at all.
