Week 6 Final Injury Report: Christian McCaffrey out

InjuryReport-week6_final

CHARLOTTE — The Panthers will be without running back Christian McCaffrey this week against the Vikings.

McCaffrey was ruled out for Sunday's game, after he did not participate in Friday's practice. He was also held out Thursday, after doing limited work on Wednesday.

He hasn't played since straining his hamstring on Sept. 23 at Houston.

Rookie Chuba Hubbard has started in his absence, and ran for 101 yards last week against the Eagles.

The Panthers also ruled out linebackers Shaq Thompson (foot) and Kamal Martin (concussion) this week. Thompson could return in the next week or so, after playing through a n injury which popped up in Week 4 against the Cowboys.

Left tackle Cameron Erving (neck) practiced fully again Friday, and is set to return to the starting lineup. Erving has no injury status for the game, meaning he's good to go. They're moving Taylor Moton back to right tackle after he replaced Erving on the left last week.

Cornerback CJ Henderson (shoulder) was a full participant Friday, after he was limited early in the week. He's listed as questionable.

Rookie guard Deonte Brown was added to the injury report with a knee injury Friday.

He had practiced Wednesday and Thursday, but was getting some attention from the athletic training staff during the open portion of practice.

He was active for the first time last week, and he is also listed as questionable.
