CHARLOTTE - Cornerback Donte Jackson returned to practice on Wednesday as Carolina released its first injury report prior to Sunday's game in London against the Buccaneers. Jackson, who was a full participant, had missed the last two games with a groin injury.

"You certainly hear him," head coach Ron Rivera said about Jackson's return to practice. "He is a lively personality. He brings energy. He and Tre Boston together is one of those energetic things. We've got guys that do that for the rest of their teammates. I think it's really cool."

Elsewhere on the injury report, running back Christian McCaffrey did not participate with a back injury. Christian Miller (ankle) and Natrell Jamerson (foot) were also on the injury report after they suffered injuries in Sunday's win over Jacksonville. Veteran defensive starters Shaq Thompson and Eric Reid also missed practice with ankle injuries.

Rookie tackle Greg Little (concussion) remains in the concussion protocol, while guard Trai Turner (ankle) again missed practice. Turner has missed the last two games.

Chris Manhertz (concussion) returned to practice after missing Sunday's game, while rookie edge rusher Brian Burns (wrist) was also a full participant.

Quarterback Cam Newton (foot) made an appearance at the start of practice but did not participate.
