Week 8 Final Injury Report: Russell Okung doubtful for TNF

Russell Okung

CHARLOTTE — Left tackle Russell Okung is doubtful for Thursday Night Football against the Falcons with a calf injury.

Okung exited last week's loss at New Orleans in the third quarter and was replaced by second-year lineman Greg Little. Okung did not practice all week with the short turnaround time for Thursday.

Little is likely to start at left tackle if Okung cannot play, though Trent Scott may also rotate in.

Right guard John Miller (ankle) is questionable for Thursday after missing last week's game. He was a full participant on Wednesday, upgraded from a limited participant on Tuesday, which is a good sign for his potential availability.

Defensive end Marquis Haynes Sr. (knee), defensive tackle Zach Kerr (toe), and defensive end Efe Obada (back) are also questionable. Kerr did not practice on Tuesday or Wednesday, but Obada and Haynes were full participants all week.

Carolina has not yet activated running back Christian McCaffrey to the 53-man roster, though they have until Thursday at 4 p.m. to do so if they want him to face the Falcons.

In Atlanta, defensive end Take McKinley (groin) has been declared out.
