Week 8 Wednesday Injury report: Terrace Marshall Jr. still out

InjuryReport-week8-wed

CHARLOTTE — Wide receiver Terrace Marshall Jr. remains out of practice, more than a week after suffering a concussion against the Vikings in Week 6.

Marshall was the lone player held out of Panthers practice Wednesday, among those on the active roster.

The Panthers were forced to adjust without him last week, promoting a pair of practice-squaders on game day to add depth there.

Linebacker Shaq Thompson (foot) returned to practice on a limited basis Wednesday, his first in-uniform work since the Dallas game in Week 4. The hope is that he can return this week or next.

Also limited Wednesday were defensive tackle Daviyon Nixon (knee), cornerback CJ Henderson (shoulder), and fullback Giovanni Ricci (concussion).

Left tackle Cameron Erving (neck) was a full participant, after missing last week's game against the Giants with an illness.

Among those not on the 53-man roster at the moment, cornerback Stephon Gilmore (physically unable to perform list) was at practice Wednesday, along with safeties Juston Burris and Myles Hartsfield (designated to return from IR). Guard Pat Elflein, who was also designated for return two weeks ago, was not present.
