CARatNO-63

CHARLOTTE — Looking ahead to the 2024 NFL Draft, the Panthers have a total of seven picks.

They still have their own second through fourth-rounders, plus the Giants' second-rounder, the Titans' fifth-rounder, the Giants' fifth-rounder and the Steelers' seventh-rounder.

The first-rounder went to Chicago in the Mar. 10, 2023 deal which netted them the No. 1 overall pick in the 2023 NFL Draft. The Panthers sent their own first-rounder (ninth overall), a late second-rounder, their 2024 first-rounder, a 2025 second-rounder, and wide receiver DJ Moore to make the move up to take quarterback Bryce Young.

Their July 6, 2022 deal with Cleveland for quarterback Baker Mayfield was for a conditional 2024 fifth-rounder. That choice would have become a fourth-rounder if Mayfield hit certain playing time benchmarks (70 percent of their offensive snaps), but he did not so it remains a fifth-rounder.

The sent their 2024 sixth-rounder (along with a 2023 seventh-rounder) to the Jaguars for wide receiver Laviska Shenault Jr. in a deal on Aug. 29, 2022.

That same day, the Panthers acquired the Tennessee fifth in the deal for reserve offensive lineman Dennis Daley and their 2024 seventh-rounder.

On Oct. 17, 2022 they acquired the sixth-round pick of the Arizona Cardinals in a trade for Robbie Anderson (along with Arizona's seventh-round pick in 2025).

On Oct 20, 2022, the Panthers traded running back Christian McCaffrey to the 49ers for four picks (including second, third, and fourth-rounders in 2023 and a fifth-rounder in 2024).

According to reports, the Mar. 11, 2024 deal that sent Brian Burns to the Giants was in exchange for a 2024 second-rounder and a 2025 fifth-rounder, along with a swap of fifth-rounders (the Giants' 141st overall for the 49ers' 166th).

They also swapped late picks in the reported trade with the Steelers on Mar. 12, 2024, sending Arizona's sixth-rounder to Pittsburgh along with cornerback Donte Jackson for wide receiver Diontae Johnson and a seventh-rounder.

On the first night of the 2024 draft, they traded their 33rd overall pick and the 141st for Buffalo's 32nd and 200th, so they could take wide receiver Xavier Legette.

The Panthers then added a 2025 second-rounder in a deal with the Rams. The Panthers sent the 39th overall pick to the Rams for the 52nd, the 155th, and next year's second.

Then they traded back up with the Colts, sending the 52nd overall pick along with two fifths (142 and 155) to move up to take running back Jonathon Brooks.

Then they traded back with the Jets, giving the 65th overall pick for the 72nd and 157th.
