Duke Energy's "Share the Warmth" Program
Duke Energy and the Carolina Panthers have teamed up to bolster contributions to "Share the Warmth" -- a community assistance program established by Duke Energy in 1985 to help Carolinas residents in need pay for heating expenses.
During the month of December, Carolina Panthers Charities contributed $1,000 to Share the Warmth for every sack of an opposing team's quarterback. The team recorded 12 sacks during the 5 December games resulting in a $12,000 contribution to the Share The Warmth Fund.
In 2019, Share the Warmth provided more than $1.1 million to more than 80 agencies in the Duke Energy Carolinas service area (primarily western and central North Carolina and upstate South Carolina). Since 1985, agencies have received more than $35 million in assistance to help income-qualified individuals and families.
The Duke Energy Foundation matches contributions, dollar-for-dollar, up to $500,000. Join us and donate today and you will receive an exclusive "Thank You" video from the team.
