Week 16 Wednesday Injury Report: DJ Moore held out

InjuryReport-week16-wed

CHARLOTTE — Panthers wide receiver DJ Moore got through last week, but he got a day off Wednesday.

Moore was held out of practice because of a hamstring injury.

He initially picked up the injury two weeks ago against Atlanta, and he was limited in practice all last week. But he played Sunday at Buffalo, and had six catches for 48 yards.

Veteran cornerback Stephon Gilmore (knee) was limited in practice. He's just now getting back to a full-time role, and he played a season-high 68 snaps (of the team's 70) in Buffalo.

The Panthers are running a little lean at the position after putting A.J. Bouye on injured reserve this week (where he joins Donte Jackson and Jaycee Horn).

Veteran left tackle Cameron Erving (calf) was also a limited participant in practice Wednesday.

Panthers head coach Matt Rhule said earlier this week there was a chance rookie Brady Christensen would see some action this week.

The Panthers were a little short in practice, since two other players (Sam Franklin Jr. and Azur Kamara) went on the team's reserve/COVID-19 list Wednesday, joining Derrick Brown and Matt Barkley there.
