Week 16 Wednesday Injury Report: DJ Moore held out

InjuryReport-week16-wed

CHARLOTTE — Panthers wide receiver ï»żDJ Mooreï»ż got through last week, but he got a day off Wednesday.

Moore was held out of practice because of a hamstring injury.

He initially picked up the injury two weeks ago against Atlanta, and he was limited in practice all last week. But he played Sunday at Buffalo, and had six catches for 48 yards.

Veteran cornerback ï»żStephon Gilmoreï»ż (knee) was limited in practice. He's just now getting back to a full-time role, and he played a season-high 68 snaps (of the team's 70) in Buffalo.

The Panthers are running a little lean at the position after putting ï»żA.J. Bouyeï»ż on injured reserve this week (where he joins ï»żDonte Jacksonï»ż and ï»żJaycee Hornï»ż).

Veteran left tackle ï»żCameron Ervingï»ż (calf) was also a limited participant in practice Wednesday.

Panthers head coach Matt Rhule said earlier this week there was a chance rookie ï»żBrady Christensenï»ż would see some action this week.

The Panthers were a little short in practice, since two other players (ï»żSam Franklin Jr.ï»ż and ï»żAzur Kamaraï»ż) went on the team's reserve/COVID-19 list Wednesday, joining ï»żDerrick Brownï»ż and ï»żMatt Barkleyï»ż there.
