CHARLOTTE – The Panthers have claimed wide receiver
King, a rookie drafted by the Broncos in the fifth round out of Georgia, spent three days on Denver’s active roster before being waived Saturday. He had been on the team’s practice squad all season.
King led all Football Bowl Subdivision receivers with a 22.6-yard reception average as a senior in 2012, when he racked up 950 yards on 42 catches with nine touchdowns. In a school-record 56 games with the Bulldogs, he totaled 136 catches for 2,602 yards and 21 touchdowns.
Moore, signed as an unrestricted free agent in March following four seasons with the Chicago Bears, played in two games and recorded five tackles before suffering a knee injury and being inactive for four games.
