Applicant must be at least 21 years of age as of March 1, 2026 and has received a high school diploma.
WHAT TO WEAR
Applicants should audition in dance shorts and a dance top of the same color (ex: green top and green shorts). Choose a color that you feel confident in! Sneakers or Jazz shoes are recommended. Both are required for finalists.
HOW TO PREPARE FOR AUDITIONS
It is strongly encouraged to attend the Audition Prep Clinics. The Audition Prep Classes will begin in January and will focus on a different style each session while also reviewing the technical skills essential for auditions.
2026 Auditions Timeline
Feb 1st-Feb 28th: Video submissions accepted
All candidates must submit video that includes an elevator pitch introduction plus a dance of your own. Dance video should be a pom or jazz style dance with you facing the camera. Please film in a well-lit area with no filters. Attire is dance top and shorts in the same color with flesh colored pantyhose (example red top and red shorts, or yellow top and yellow shorts). No briefs. No skirts. No bare legs. No Panthers logos or wordmarks allowed. Dance video should be 45-60 seconds and include advanced technical dance skills (including but not limited to kicks, turns, leaps, jumps, and acro) and performance value.
March 2nd: Semi Finalists notified by email
March 6th, 7th, 8th: Semi Finals (in person)
Candidates that are selected to move on from the preliminary round video submissions. Attire is dance top and shorts in the same color with flesh colored pantyhose (example red top and red shorts, or yellow top and yellow shorts). No briefs. No skirts. No bare legs. No Panthers logos or wordmarks allowed. Round 2 will consist of jazz, pom, and hip hop choreography. Bring sneakers and jazz shoes.
March 10th: Finalists notified by email
March 16th-19th: Interviews (virtual)
March 16th-19th: Finalist's Training Camp (in person):
Training camp candidates. Includes workouts, choreography, rehearsals, virtual interview, talent night, and a finals night.
March 22nd: Finals (in person)
