The Panthers went to Sumner Elementary School in Greensboro, N.C., to put on a fun event as part of the 3rd and Goal Literacy initiative.

$120,000 was donated to provide a mid-year boost for school supplies for 800 elementary classrooms in 17 Title I Charlotte-Mecklenburg schools.

The Panthers partnered with Coca-Cola Consolidated and Convoy of Hope for "Joy to the Carolinas," a special holiday experience for deserving children and their families at Bank of America Stadium. The program provided toys, new shoes, haircuts, health services, food and more. Atrium Health, Harris Teeter, Second Harvest Food Bank and US Foods each assisted in the community effort.

Panthers legends Steve Smith Sr. and Mike Rucker along with Sir Purr and volunteers from American Airlines packed book bags for children at Charlotte-Douglas International Airport on Tuesday as part of the American Airlines Snowball Express. Partnering with the USO of North Carolina, the bags will go to children of fallen military members.

The Carolina Panthers 3rd & Goal literacy program and Harris Teeter's Together in Education initiative teamed up recently to provide a scholastic book fair for students at Reedy Creek Elementary School. Students received vouchers courtesy of Harris Teeter that allowed them to select new books for their take-home libraries.
