Cam Newton Foundation launches Super Cam Club

The Cam Newton Foundation recently announced the launch of its online fundraiser -- the Super Cam Club -- to impact youth in need. The Cam Newton Foundation is partnering with the Boys & Girls Clubs of America on this fundraiser to encourage fans to help "Raise the Score" in the community with an easy way to support kids in need and cheer on Newton and the Carolina Panthers this season.

You can join the Super Cam Club by pledging a specified donation amount for each of Newton's passing and rushing touchdowns in the 2018 Panthers regular and postseason games. New for the 2018 season – Cam will personally match the Super Cam Club proceeds to increase the charitable donation amount for both charities (the CNF and Boys and Girls Clubs of America).

"I'm not just asking people to donate. Whatever you donate, I'm going to match it so we help the world anyway possible," Newton said.

Fans can select a pledge amount per touchdown (for both home and away games) ranging between $5 and $50 or more. After every Panthers game, Newton's passing and rushing touchdown numbers will be combined for a total number of touchdowns. At the end of the season, participants receive various gifts, depending on their donation amount. Items range from autographed pictures to personalized footballs and jerseys.

So does Newton, who has averaged 30.3 total touchdowns over his seven-year career, have a guess on how many touchdowns he'll score this season.

"Yes," he said with a smile. "A lot."

Fans are encouraged to sign up prior to the season opener. In order to participate or for more details, fans should visit the Super Cam Club website: www.SuperCamClub.org.
