Kawann Short receives Community Impact Player of the Year award

CHARLOTTE -- The Charlotte Touchdown Club awarded defensive tackle Kawann Short with the 2018 Carolina Panthers Community Impact Player of the Year Award on Monday at the Charlotte Convention Center.

The criteria for this award is a player that exemplifies principles of character, integrity, excellence, and teamwork while also motivating and inspiring his teammates and others around him to accomplish more than they would have normally.

In addition to his charitable work with the Panthers, Kawann Short also participates in personal charitable events in both Charlotte and his hometown, East Chicago.These events include the Annual Kawann Short Youth STEM and Football Camp, Youth Literacy Program, Annual Grier Heights Thanksgiving Community Dinner (Charlotte), Annual Turkey Giveaway (East Chicago), and the Boys and Girls Club of NWI Christmas Giveaway.
