CHARLOTTE — The Panthers added some experience to the outside linebacker room Wednesday, signing veteran pass-rusher Charles Harris.
The 29-year-old was with the Lions for the last three seasons.
A former first-round pick of the Dolphins, he has 16.5 sacks in seven seasons.
His best year was 2021 with Detroit when he had 7.5 sacks.
The Panthers are working with a number of younger options at the position opposite Jadeveon Clowney, with DJ Johnson and Eku Leota splitting time last week.
Also Wednesday, they signed tight end Feleipe Franks back to the practice squad after he was waived Monday. He played in Sunday's opener, and recovered a muffed punt on special teams.
