Panthers make change at wide receiver

RosterMove

CHARLOTTE — The Panthers made a change at wide receiver prior to Tuesday's practice.

The team signed rookie wideout Ja'seem Reed and released veteran wideout Dan Chisena.

Reed was in Browns camp earlier this year. An undrafted rookie from the University of San Diego, he caught 77 passes for 1,052 yards and 12 touchdowns last year. He worked out here on Monday.

Chisena was signed to the practice squad last October and was promoted to the active roster in December. A long-time special teams player, he caught his first three NFL passes last year. He was placed on the physically unable to perform list at the start of camp.
