Panthers to hold Football 101

!The Carolina Panthers, Lowe's, Belk, Barefoot Wine, AAA, CPI Security, Glad, Heinz, Sargento, Johnsonville and Blue Bunny have teamed up to bring an evening of football and fun to Bank of America Stadium on Monday, Sept. 21 from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. with the Carolina Panthers Football 101 Workshop presented by Lowe's.

Designed to increase basic football knowledge, Football 101 presented by Lowe's is a class for football beginners that will help fans gain a better understanding of the game and will provide a forum where they can ask questions. Panthers players will define terminology and focus on the fundamentals of offense, defense and special teams. Participants will also learn referee signals and specific play calls and will find out what it is like to be an NFL player.

The cost of the program is $50 per ticket or $600 for a reserved table of 10, which includes a party in the team store, wine reception, buffet dinner, fashion show, classroom session and gift. Proceeds from the event will benefit Carolina Panthers Charities.

Those wishing to attend can register online instantly with a credit card or complete the registration form and return it with a check made payable to Panthers Football. Upon receipt of registration and payment, participants will be mailed a confirmation letter and ticket.

Also, the Panthers will offer Football 201 presented by Belk on Tuesday, Nov. 3. An advanced football workshop, Football 201 provides a continuation of topics covered in Football 101 and introduces fans to new subjects such as basic formations, film breakdown, the salary cap, free agency and NFL Draft. In addition to the classroom session, the course consists of a party in the team store, wine reception, dinner and gift. The enrollment fee is $50 per ticket or $600 for a reserved table of 10, and registration begins Oct. 1 on Panthers.com.
