CHARLOTTE — For the first time in franchise history, the Carolina Panthers will feature a Spanish television broadcast. The exciting news comes as the Panthers and Telemundo – the American Spanish-language television network owned by NBCUniversal Telemundo Enterprises, a division of NBCUniversal—announce a regional broadcast partnership. Telemundo will air Panthers preseason games in Spanish across North and South Carolina.

As Telemundo expands its Spanish-language programming in key markets throughout the Carolinas, the network is making it easier than ever for fans to experience the early season excitement as the Panthers prepare to kick off the 2025-26 NFL season this September. Beginning in August, Telemundo will broadcast all preseason games across eight regional markets via the following local affiliates:

  • Asheville, NC & Greenville-Spartanburg, SC – WDKT Telemundo
  • Charleston, SC – WZCH Telemundo
  • Charlotte, NC – WSOC Telemundo
  • Columbia, SC – WTES Telemundo
  • Greenville-New Bern, NC – WTGC Telemundo
  • Myrtle Beach, SC – WXIV Telemundo
  • Raleigh, NC – WRTD Telemundo
  • Wilmington, NC – WTWL Telemundo

The preseason schedule is as follows:

  • Friday 8/8 vs. Cleveland Browns (Bank of America Stadium at 7pm)
  • Saturday 8/16 at Houston Texans (1pm)
  • Thursday 8/21 vs. Pittsburgh Steelers (Bank of America Stadium at 7pm)

"This partnership with Telemundo is an exciting opportunity to bring Panthers football to even more households across the Carolinas," said Kristi Coleman, chief executive officer of Tepper Sports & Entertainment and Carolina Panthers team president. "As the region continues to grow, we're proud to strengthen our connection with Latino fans by making our preseason broadcasts more accessible than ever before."

Telemundo's Panthers broadcasts will be led by Carlos Ramirez, who joins as the play-by-play announcer. Ramirez previously spent ten years as a key part of the San Francisco 49ers Spanish-language pre- and post-game broadcasts. He has also called NFL games in Spanish for NFL Network, ESPN, and provided commentary for the Spanish-language broadcast of Super Bowl LVI.

"I'm honored to be part of this historic moment for the Carolina Panthers as we bring Spanish-language coverage to preseason games for the first time," said Ramirez. "It's a privilege to represent both the Panthers organization and our vibrant Hispanic community. My goal is to carry on the team's tradition of excellence in Spanish broadcasting—now on a new platform—and to share my passion for football with fans across the Carolinas and beyond. I can't wait to connect with Panthers fans this preseason!"

Joining Ramirez in the booth is Ariana Figuera, recently named Telemundo's Panthers color analyst. A respected veteran of the Telemundo network as the Sunday Night Football sideline reporter, Figuera has also contributed to NFL Network and ESPN, bringing experience in studio commentary and sideline reporting.

"I'm incredibly honored to join the Carolina Panthers broadcast team as the organization's first female TV analyst," said Figuera. "I'm deeply aware of the responsibility this role carries, and I'm beyond grateful for the opportunity to continue growing the game while making history in a league that has given me so much. It's a privilege to bring my passion and dedication to this incredible team. History has a voice!"

Panthers games airing on Telemundo will mirror the English-language broadcasts, including existing partner integrations and in-game billboards. Commentary will be delivered entirely in Spanish, while sideline interviews will remain in English.

The Panthers will kick off its 2025-26 preseason at home against the Cleveland Browns on Friday, August 8 at 7 p.m. at Bank of America Stadium.
