CHARLOTTE — The Panthers brought back another pass-rush and special teams option Saturday.
The team activated outside linebacker Amaré Barno from the physically unable to perform list. Barno has been practicing for the last two weeks.
He suffered a torn ACL last year on Christmas Eve against the Packers.
The 25-year-old was the team's sixth-round pick from Virginia Tech in 2022, after he set a combine record for defensive linemen with a 4.36-second 40-yard dash.
Barno had 2.0 sacks his rookie season, and became a valuable contributor on special teams, playing gunner on the punt team (a job usually held by defensive backs).
To make room for him on the 53-man roster, the team waived outside linebacker Thomas Incoom.
The Panthers also brought up wide receiver Dan Chisena and tight end Stephen Sullivan from the practice squad by standard elevation for Week 13. Sullivan will help fill in at tight end since rookie Ja'Tavion Sanders is out this week with a neck injury.
Also, the team downgraded safety Nick Scott to out for this week. He started practicing this week, the first of his three-week window to return from injured reserve.
