INDIANAPOLIS — The Panthers are sitting all their starters today after two days of joint workouts with the Colts, which leaves a number of rookies sliding into the starting lineup for today's preseason opener.

Second-round wide receiver Terrace Marshall Jr. and fourth-round running back Chuba Hubbard will be among the starters on offense today.

Third-rounders Tommy Tremble and Brady Christensen will also start on offense, along with sixth-round guard Deonte Brown.

Fifth-round defensive tackle Daviyon Nixon will start as well.

The middle linebacker spot will be held by veteran Josh Bynes, who practiced for the first time with the team on Thursday.

In addition to the starters, the Panthers held out a few players who picked up injuries over the course of the week in Indiana, including running backs Reggie Bonnafon and Rodney Smith, linebacker Nate Hall, center Mike Panasiuk, and defensive tackle Caraun Reid.
