Beyond the numbers: Carolina dropped one spot following the loss to the Packers, according to ESPN. David Newton says three of the Panthers next four games seem winnable, but if they hope to make the playoffs in the NFC they'll need at least 10 or 11 wins, which will require a few upsets.

The B/R staff praised Panthers' pass rush and rushing attack led by running back Christian McCaffrey, but pointed out that if the defense doesn't get better at stopping the run, it doesn't have a shot at making a playoff run.

Beyond the numbers: The Panthers sunk three spots after falling to the Packers, according to Mike Florio of Pro Football Talk. Florio said that if the Panthers suffer another late-season collapse, there could be consequences.

Beyond the numbers: CBS Sports dropped the Panthers four spots this week after defeating the Titans. Pete Prisco said he was impressed by the Panthers ability to fight their way back into the game against the Packers, but after the Falcons upset the Saints, next week's matchup against Atlanta doesn't look as easy.
