CHARLOTTE – The Panthers have signed four more players to future contracts. Safety Brian Blechen, offensive tackle Jake Rodgers, fullback Darrel Young and cornerback Jeff Richards have joined the nine future contract signings from Monday.

Blechen, who spent all of the 2015 season on Carolina's practice squad, was on the team's practice squad for eight weeks in 2016. Rodgers was on Carolina's practice squad for two weeks in December.

Young spent six years with the Washington Redskins, starting 37 of 92 games played and scoring 13 touchdowns. He did not play in 2016 after attending training camp with the Chicago Bears.

Richards played for Ottawa in the Canadian Football League in 2015 and 2016. Prior to that, he played arena football for several teams in 2014. Richards played collegiately at Emporia State.
