On Thursday, February 5, the Pro Football Hall of Fame Class of 2026 was announced, with linebacker Luke Kuechly, wideout Larry Fitzgerald, quarterback Drew Brees, kicker Adam Vinatieri and running back Roger Craig making the cut.
But even before the announcement, which occurred in San Francisco at the 2026 NFL Honors Awards show ahead of Super Bowl LX, those newly minted members received the news from a current Hall of Famer that had an impact in their lives and careers.
They call it "The Knock," where the Hall of Famer knocks on the door of the inductee's home to deliver the message. For Carolina Panthers Legend Julius Peppers' knock in 2024, it was legendary defensive end Bruce Smith.
As for who will notify Kuechly, fans can watch on Saturday, February 7 at 10 p.m. ET on NFL Network to see how the Panthers stalwart got the news and his honest reactions afterwards in a 30-minute special.
And stay tuned to Panthers.com to read about the backstory of how this momentous surprise came together.
You will not want to miss it.
