CHARLOTTE — The Panthers filled out the 53-man roster and also added a former first-round pick and a local product Tuesday.
The team signed linebacker Chandler Wooten to the active roster from the practice squad and signed cornerback Caleb Farley to the practice squad.
Farley, the 25-year-old native of Maiden, N.C. tried out here on Tuesday.
He was the 22nd overall pick in the first round of the 2021 draft by the Titans, but his career there was plagued by injuries, playing in 12 games in two seasons.
Wooten gives them linebacker depth after the season-ending injury to Shaq Thompson, and the injury to Josey Jewell that will keep him out at least this week.
Wooten has appeared in 17 games here the last two seasons after he was originally signed off the Cardinals practice squad.
