Panthers make two more cuts to get to 80

Roster Moves

CHARLOTTE — The Panthers finished this week's cuts to 80, by parting ways with a couple of defensive linemen.

The team waived defensive end Kendall Donnerson, and released veteran defensive tackle Caraun Reid Tuesday. They waived wide receiver Krishawn Hogan, defensive tackle Walter Palmore, and guard Marquel Harrell on Monday.

With the starters scheduled to play a half or less in Friday's preseason finale against the Steelers, and defensive end Marquis Haynes Sr. still on the mend with a shoulder issue, that will mean plenty of reps for a dwindling number of reserves.

They have to cut to the regular-season limit of 53 by next Tuesday, Aug. 31.
