CHARLOTTE -- The Panthers on Monday signed 14 players to reserve future contracts. All but one of the players finished the season on the practice squad, with a number of players earning active game status throughout the season as COVID-19 standard elevations.

Carolina also signed tight end Colin Thompson to a contract extension through 2021. Thompson, who was set to become an exclusive rights free agent, played in 15 games with four starts, making a 7-yard touchdown catch against Tampa Bay in Week 10.

The players from the practice squad who signed reserve/future contracts included:

  • LB Daniel Bituli
  • WR Ventell Bryant
  • DB Sean Chandler
  • WR Amara Darboh
  • G Mike Horton
  • WR Ishmael Hyman
  • LB Clay Johnston
  • WR Marken Michel
  • G Aaron Monteiro
  • LB Chris Orr
  • DT Mike Panasiuk
  • TE Giovanni Ricci
  • C Sam Tecklenburg

The Panthers also signed Lirim Hajrullahu, a kicker who was briefly on the practice squad last month.

By signing futures contracts, these players will be on the Panthers' roster at the beginning of the new league year in March.
