Panthers sign rookie running back

The Carolina Panthers hold Rookie Mini Camp on Friday, May. 9, 2025 in Charlotte, NC.

CHARLOTTE — The Panthers entered rookie minicamp with all but two of their draft picks signed, and on Tuesday, they added another.

Carolina signed running back Trevor Etienne to his rookie contract.

Etienne began his college career at Florida before finishing off at Georgia. He averaged 5.0 yards per carry for the Bulldogs last year, rushing 122 times for 609 yards with nine touchdowns. He also has the kind of speed necessary in the return game, as he ran a 4.42 40 at the combine this year, along with a 35-inch vertical, and returned kicks while at Florida.

The Panthers inked eight of their six draft picks ahead of rookie minicamp. Now that Etienne has signed, that leaves only Nic Scourton to finish his rookie deal.

While a good number of players are in the building for voluntary workouts, the bulk will return for OTAs on May 27.
