CHARLOTTE — The Panthers found the tackle they needed on Friday afternoon.

According to multiple reports, including from NFL Network, the team agreed to terms on a one-year deal with former Packers starter Rasheed Walker.

He gives them a proven commodity at the position while they wait for Ikem Ekwonu to recover from his torn patellar tendon suffered in the wild card game against the Rams.

The 26-year-old Walker started 48 games the last three seasons for the Packers.

He was originally a seventh-round pick out of Penn State in 2022, who only appeared in one game as a rookie. But since then, he has been a key part of a proven offense, and a dependable part of it as well.

The 6-foot-6, 324-pounder is a proven starter, so the Panthers checked a major need off the offseason to-do list.
