NEW ORLEANS — Starting defensive tackle Tershawn Wharton was a late addition to the injury report this week, and he won't play Sunday against the Saints.

Wharton was added with a hamstring injury on Saturday and was inactive for the game.

Wharton missed two games early this year with a hamstring injury and two with a toe injury. In nine games, he has 2.0 sacks and three quarterback hits.

Without Wharton, the Panthers are expected to start Bobby Brown III on the defensive line alongside Derrick Brown and A'Shawn Robinson.

Also inactive for the Panthers this week are Hunter Renfrow, Demani Richardson, Krys Barnes, James Mitchell, and Jared Harrison-Hunte.

They activated hybrid linebacker-safety Isaiah Simmons again this week, his second elevation from the practice squad.
