Panthers activate two from practice squad for Buccaneers game

RosterMoves

CHARLOTTE — The Panthers added some depth on the offensive line, as well as defense and special teams, for Sunday's game against the Buccaneers.

The team activated guard Saahdiq Charles and linebacker Isaiah Simmons from the practice squad by standard elevation.

It's the second of three possible elevations for Charles, and the third and final for Simmons.

Charles adds some depth in case left tackle Ikem Ekwonu is able to go this week.

He's listed as questionable on the injury report with a knee injury, and only practiced on a limited basis Friday.

The Panthers did not activate wide receiver David Moore from injured reserve this week, so he's been downgraded to out on the injury report. He began practicing this week, in his effort to come back from a Week 4 elbow injury. He can be activated any time within the 21-day window, which began on Wednesday.
