Panthers add outside linebacker to the practice squad

RosterMove

CHARLOTTE — The Panthers refilled the practice squad again on Thursday, which they're getting used to this season.

The latest move was signing former Southern Cal outside linebacker Jamil Muhammad to the practice squad.

Muhammad was in camp with the Rams this year and spent most of the season on their practice squad. He sacked Shedeur Sanders in the preseason and forced a fumble.

He had 12.0 sacks in two seasons at USC, with 10.5 of them coming in 2023. He previously played at Georgia State.

The Panthers needed to add again, after the Steelers signed outside linebacker Jeremiah Moon from the practice squad to their 53-man roster.

Moon's the second Panthers practice squader this week and the fourth this season to join another team's active roster.

The Jaguars signed running back DeeJay Dallas off the practice squad earlier this week.

In September, the Falcons signed defensive tackle Sam Roberts to their 53, and the Texans signed offensive lineman Jarrett Kingston.

The Panthers have also had five of their own practice squad players on their own roster over the course of the season (including Krys Barnes, Kalen King, Mike White, Trevian Thomas, and Jared Harrison-Hunte.
