CHARLOTTE — The Panthers added a pair of players to the practice squad Monday to backfill a couple of vacancies.
The team signed defensive tackle Tommy Akingbesote and safety Israel Mukuamu.
They had a couple of open spots on the practice squad after defensive tackle Jaden Crumedy was signed to the active roster on Saturday, and defensive tackle Sam Roberts signed with the Falcons' active roster.
Mukuamu, a 25-year-old Charlotte native who played at South Carolina, was a sixth-round pick of the Cowboys in 2021 and has spent the last four years there. He has appeared in 50 games for the Cowboys with three starts (all in 2022).
Akingbesote was a seventh-round pick of the Cowboys this year out of Maryland.
