Panthers announce changes to scouting department

CHARLOTTE – The Carolina Panthers have made several adjustments within the scouting department.

"You are always looking to improve your scouting operation," general manager Dave Gettleman said. "We made some moves after taking a look at everything. I feel really good about our personnel group, both pro and college. We feel this strengthens us even further."

  • Mark Koncz is the new director of player personnel. He was previously the team's director of pro scouting, a position he held since 2000.
  • Jeff Morrow is the new director of college scouting. He was named the assistant director of college scouting last year.
  • Matt Allen is the new director of pro personnel. He was previously a pro scout.
  • Don Gregory is now a senior executive scout, working pro and college. He was previously the director of player personnel and also spent 10 years as the director of college scouting.
  • Jonathan Fields is now a pro scouting assistant. He was previously a college scouting assistant.
  • Eli Montague is now an area scout. He was previously a BLESTO scout.
