Panthers make a change at linebacker

RosterMove

CHARLOTTE — The Panthers added some experience at linebacker Sunday.

The team signed former Packers and Cardinals linebacker Krys Barnes.

The 27-year-old Barnes started 24 games in three years with the Packers from 2020 to 2022.

Arizona Cardinals linebacker Krys Barnes (51) stands on the field before an NFL football game against the Miami Dolphins, Sunday, Oct. 27, 2024, in Miami Gardens, Fla.

He spent the last two seasons with the Cardinals, with six starts in 2023.

To make room for him on the roster, they released rookie linebacker Tuasivi Nomura.

Nomura was signed earlier this spring as an undrafted rookie from Fresno State.
