SANTA CLARA, Calif. — The Panthers added depth on defense and special teams for Monday night's game against the 49ers.

The team activated linebacker Krys Barnes and running back DeeJay Dallas from the practice squad by standard elevation.

Head coach Dave Canales said Barnes would be up alongside Claudin Cherelusthis week, since starting linebackers Christian Rozeboom and Trevin Wallace have already been ruled out.

This is Barnes' third standard elevation of the season, hitting the limit. To appear in a game after tonight, he'd have to be signed to the 53-man roster.

Dallas appeared in two games earlier this year on special teams (the wins against the Dolphins and the Cowboys) when he was on the 53-man roster. He was released and signed back to the practice squad earlier this month.
