Panthers sign 14 players to future contracts

CHARLOTTE -- The Panthers have announced the signings of 13 players to reserve future contracts on the day after the 2018 season finale. The team also waived quarterback Garrett Gilbert.

Carolina signed all nine players that finished the season on the team's practice squad, including:

  • RB Reggie Bonnafon
  • LB Brandon Chubb
  • DB Cole Luke
  • DB Kai Nacua
  • DT Elijah Qualls
  • G Ian Silberman
  • G Landon Turner
  • WR DeAndrew White
  • LB Antwione Williams

The Panthers also signed CB Josh Thornton to a future contract. He spent a week on Carolina's practice squad.

Carolina also signed four new players, including:

  • T Isaiah Battle (Clemson)
  • DB Quin Blanding (Virginia)
  • DT Woodrow Hamilton (Mississippi)
  • WR Andre Levrone (Virginia)

By signing futures contracts, these players are a part of the Panthers roster at the beginning of the new NFL year in March.
