The Panthers on Wednesday signed running back Reggie Bonnafon to the active roster.

Bonnafon was activated off the practice squad/injured list on Tuesday after he missed the last five games with a high ankle sprain.

He was elevated from the practice squad and saw action in Weeks 3 and 4, including a breakout effort against the Bears, totaling 87 scrimmage yards and a receiving touchdown before suffering the ankle injury late in the game.

Since joining the Panthers as an undrafted rookie out of Louisville in 2018, Bonnafon has played in 18 games with 160 scrimmage yards and two touchdowns.

In a corresponding move, the Panthers placed linebacker Adarius Taylor on the reserve/injured list with a groin injury. Taylor, who appeared mostly on special teams through the first nine weeks, also had 14 tackles on defense.
