Ryan Kalil's viral video 'a last-minute thing'

As successful as Ryan Kalil has been as a football player, there's a chance he could become an even bigger deal in his post-playing days.

We already know his production company us currently remaking "The Rocketeer" and "White Men Can't Jump," but the Pro Bowl center/Panthers prankster went indie this weekend with a parody of Cam Newton's viral birthday video:

"That was kind of a last-minute thing," left tackle Matt Kalil said after Monday's OTA session, "and he put this whole professionally edited video together in a span of one hour. That's what he does."

Ryan Kalil put together his latest video masterpiece after Friday's annual visit to Lake Toxaway in western North Carolina, a trip where the only invitees are offensive linemen, tight ends and everyone's buddy, linebacker Luke Kuechly.

Shortly before Kalil posted the video on his Instagram account, he held an exclusive showing in the Panthers' pre-practice team meeting. That group included Newton, who laughed like the rest of us.

"He loved it," head coach Ron Rivera said. "He's trying to hire Ryan away as his new videographer."

And, perhaps, as a financial advisor?

"He spends all that money on all those videographers," Ryan Kalil said. "I just did it all on my iPhone.

"I said, 'You should have invited me on your trip, man. You're getting robbed. I could've saved you some cash.'"
