CHARLOTTE - The Panthers' injury report to start Week 5 is a lengthy one.

Head coach Ron Rivera said rookie offensive tackle Greg Little is in the concussion protocol. Little was in the concussion protocol earlier this season after suffering a concussion in the third preseason game at New England. He made his debut in Week 3 at Arizona and made his first start at left tackle last Sunday in Houston.

Tight end Chris Manhertz, who was injured during the win in Houston, is also in the concussion protocol.

Cornerback Donte Jackson (groin) and guard Trai Turner (ankle) did not practice on Wednesday. Neither played against the Texans.

"He's progressing, but we'll see," Rivera said of Turner. "It's a day-by-day thing and we'll see how it goes."

Jackson said he's also taking it day-by-day and is unsure if he'll be able to play against the Jaguars.

Safety Eric Reid (ankle) and edge rusher Brian Burns (wrist) left Sunday's game with injuries, but both returned to action and finished the game. Neither practiced on Wednesday.

Running back Christian McCaffrey and wideout Curtis Samuel were given rest days. Quarterback Cam Newton (foot) was absent, and so too was wide receiver Chris Hogan (knee),
