2026 Carolina Panthers Latino Youth Honors
At Sunday's home opener against the Chicago Bears, the Panthers recognized John Dilone of Palisades High School and Angela Rueda of Hough High School as the team's representatives for the NFL Latino Youth Honors Program. Every year, each NFL team nominates two exemplary high school student-athletes to be considered for college grant funding and a trip to Super Bowl LX to participate in a variety of special events.
Carolina Panthers Carpool Takeover
As part of the NFL's Por La Cultura initiative, the Carolina Panthers kicked off their Latino Heritage Month recognition this week with several community events that celebrate local Latino communities and culture. On Tuesday, September 8, the Panthers hosted their kickoff week Carpool Takeover at Charlotte East Language Academy, a dual language immersion school. Panthers players RB Jonathon Brooks, TE Feleipe Franks, OLB Trevis Gipson Sr., and T Taylor Moton, SirPurr, and TopCats, greeted students as they arrived at school for the day. Following carpool, the students were gifted special t-shirts to mark the occasion and took part in a spirited hallway run with Panthers players.
YMCA Cleat Surprise
This season, the Carolina Panthers and YMCA of Greater Charlotte partnered to provide scholarships for Latino flag football players for the Fall 2026 flag football season, increasing access and opportunities for Latino youth and their families to participate in the fast-growing sport of flag football. On Thursday, September 10, the Carolina Panthers surprised youth flag football players with new cleats during a special experience on the field at Bank of America Stadium. Ticketmaster provided the flag football players and their families with tickets to the Panthers home opener against the Chicago Bears.
